The journal Moscow university computational mathematics and cybernetics follows the Peer-Review Policy, Peer-Review Process and Peer-Review Guidelines of Springer Nature, the Springer Nature Code of Conduct for Journal Editors and the COPE Ethical Principles for Reviewers.
Approximately 10% of manuscripts are rejected without consideration based on formal criteria because they do not comply with the submission guidelines. Each manuscript is assigned two reviewers.
The average time from submission to first decision usually does not exceed 90 days. The approximate rejection rate is about 20%. The final decision on accepting the manuscript for publication is made by the editorial board meeting.
If editors, including the editor-in-chief, publish in the journal, they do not participate in the discussion or decision-making process for manuscripts on which they are listed as co-authors.
When preparing special issues for publication, the journal follows the same procedures as other issues. Unless otherwise specified, special issues are prepared by members of the editorial board without the participation of guest editors.
